Black Sand Beach, Bethells West Coast New Zealand
This rugged and beautiful black sand beach meets the mouth of the Waitakere River which flows into the wild surf of the Tasman Sea. This place can be so serene on a calm day, then quite eerie on a stormy winter evening.
The Māori name for the area "Te Henga" is in reference to the long foredunes which run along the beach and look like the "Henga" or "Gunwhale" of an upturned waka hull.
All art prints are printed on luxurious fine art paper which has a MATT finish to it. If you would like a glossy finish, please let us know.
Colours may differ slightly from what you see on screen to the original print due to different monitor settings.
